Hi, I'm just a random stranger looking for something critique-able. (: English is not my native language so I'll apologize for any mistakes in advance, haha.
This is really adorable!
I like the pose a lot, because it makes the character appear all innocent and playful. The eyes are also very well done, since the color palette you used for shading them makes them stand out and immediately catch the viewer's attention. <3
Even though I feel like the fur is a bit too short for a kitten, I love how you put so much effort into the fur structure and shading. When zooming in closer and seeing all those tiny little hairs and fur tufts I was like, 'Man, that must have taken an eternity.'
Despite not exactly being an expert on shading myself, I think you could try to create an even stronger shadow/light contrast.
In order to make lineless work you could, for example, use brighter colors where the outlines are supposed to be and create some kind of back-light like here fav.me/d4283uw
where the artist hinted the outlines of the hindpaws etc by using a soft blue.
Also, you could try to vary the color hues a bit like you did with the eyes (going from a dark red to a light orange). Especially the ears only use absolute gray hues and I think a bit more color would make the picture look way more lively. (=
But seriously, you did a really great job on this. I hope my critique was somewhat helpful to you~
Have a nice day!
